About Wanaka Catering

Wanaka catering was founded in 2003 by Nichola and Eldon laird.
Having travelled together for a number of years throughout Europe & Canada. Nichola & Eldon arrived in Wanaka for a Ski season, but the love of the mountains and lakes were to hard to leave and they made Wanaka there home started raising there two young girls, Samantha & Chloe.

Nichola has been within the catering industry for the past 15 years, cooking for an impressive list of clients who have enjoyed her cuisine. From dealing with Bankers lunches in the busy London stock exchange to Shooting lunches in the Highlands, Nichola thrives on ensuring that what ever function she is catering goes with out a hitch or hassle.

Eldon was brought into the world of food when he started travelling at the age of 18, after meeting Nichola in England on his OE he has acquired a passion for cooking and fine food. Eldon now runs the Hiring side of Wanaka Catering as well as having a bar manager license, which enables Wanaka Catering to provide and sell alcohol at any function.

Kelly Delahunt

Kelly has had a lifetime passion for food and cooking, beginning from cooking with her mother and grandmother. A varied background from managing ski resort catering operations, restaurant stints and upmarket hotel management and catering both abroad and in New Zealand, over the last twenty years provides Kelly with an impressive resume. After taking time out to raise her young family, Kelly has resumed cooking and enjoys the varied work Wanaka Catering provides immensely and is looking forward to a great future.

Rebecca Lewis

Bexs is originally from Rotorua, and has worked in and around the hospitality industry for as long she can remember, this was followed by an Otago University Degree in Commerce and now she bases herself in the office trying to keep everything as organised as possible in an environment for ordered chaos.
